What would you do if you heard the girl next door screaming because her

boyfriend was beating her up? Every so often i hear the girl next door screaming the place down and hear the most outrageous bangs and her boyfriend screaming at her and smashing her windows in his temper, i don't know what exactly he does to her but i can hear her screaming OUGH and after the arguments calm down she says look at the state of my head, i hate having to listen to it as it's like she's being abused, what would you do if you were me? If i phoned the police they would more than likely know it was me who rang them and they seem rough next door???

I had a neighbour like that, and I phoned the police and I told them I didn't want them to speak to me and I also told my friend who works in court and she spoke to the police and they asked her if I wanted to make a statement and she told them no, The girl was lucky to be a live he stabbed her with a knife in the head and it was in front of her kid, but she still took him back, they will not no it was you, if you tell them not to knock on the door, but if you want they can contact you by phone, you could be helping this woman.

They live next door too you & they seem rough? I agree with the other answerer's about calling the police, but don`t you think you should know who`s living next door? Maybe when he`s gone out one day you could invite her round for coffee & get to know her & make a decision based on that.

You mind your own business, she must have plenty of opportunities to call the police herself, its difficult I had the same experience and called the police the woman who was being beaten up then verbally attacked me and told me to mind my own f**king business.

Ring the police and make sure you have someone with you in the house to feel safer if you're worried. Or try to talk to the girl when she's on her own, like ask her round for coffee and then ask her about it.

yeah maybe speak to her (your neighbor) if she seems at all approachable: and say what the hell is going on in your house and convince her to phone the police or you will !

I would call 911 and then take down the license number of his vehicle. She needs help from someone. I would think you would want someone to call on your behalf if you were being beaten up?

Don't hesitate!!! Call the cops! I was beat up by my ex-boyfriend and I was screaming at the top of my lungs when it happened! I lived in an apartment complex and no one came to help me! I was thrown out of the front door by him and I saw my neighbor walking her dog. She completely ignored me!!! I was screaming and he was hitting me! He finally left and I moved out that night. To this day, I resent my old neighbors. If someone is being hurt, CALL THE COPS!!!

Uh...Call the police to check on the girl...If the guy is that bad, he'll have a hard time bothering you behind bars...

So, what would happen if you did nothing and you read about the girl in the obituaries?...I doubt you would feel good about it...

You need to call the police, what happens if he kills her, the police questioned you if you heard any noise, knowing you did you could be in trouble for not reporting it.

I'd go next door while the screaming is going on and ask for a bowl of sugar. If she answers the door looking a bit battered then I'd just smile and ask if she's alright, so she knows I'm there for her. And if he answers the door I'll smile too, so he also knows I'm there, and ask him if everything is alright. It could all be a misunderstanding, but I'd want them to know that we can hear what is going on, and if she needs help all she has to do is give me a look.

If i were you record one of these arguments, then take it to the police and explain what you have just said to us.

If he doesnt get done for domestic violence, they should at least get done for making too much noise
