Whatever happened to the movement to get Jerusalem made England's national anthem?

Yes I admit it I'm watching the rugby and being all patriotic. England does not have its own national anthem. Wales, Scotland and Ireland all have theirs, but we have to settle for one with share as Great Britain.

I remember there was a movement to have Jerusalem made our national anthem a couple of years ago (imagine the passion simply hearing that rather than God Save The Queen - no offense Lizzie). Whatever happened to this? And do you think this would be a good choice to be England's very own national anthem?
Atalanta - I would have said that 'God Save the Queen' was pretty much Christian too....
Cassius - where did I put anything about whether England was or wasn't a christian country? I just think it's high time we got our own anthem. Every other country in the world does. Religion has nothing to do with it,.
