Whats a good way to introduce myself to a guy on campus?

I've seen him around occasionally. He's on the basketball team with one of my friends but it would be too weird to get him to introduce us.

I know I'm familiar to him and I already know his name but I'm not sure he knows mine.

I'd love to introduce myself but I'm not sure the best way to do it. Is going up to him next time I see him too direct? What about something a little more flirty?

Go up to him, ask him out to cofee. but remember, the number one rule is to BE YOURSELF. Don't act like some one your not, because hen you will get twised up in lies and probably not have a good future together.
Be flirty, and fun.
