What's a great BASIC portable DVD player?

Here's what I will be using it for, ONLY: to watch DVDs in bed (my cat hates the TV; he's scared of it). I will watch DVDs on it either while propped up in bed or perhaps while reclining in my recliner. Whether it makes any difference: I don't care for movies with lots of special effects, gore, etc. so I don't need a huge screen. Again, just a very good, basic model (under $120??).

i would suggest getting a really cheap laptop because they are great with dvds and other media but your limit is under 120 so maybe you should check out brand name portable dvd player such as sony/panasonic/samsung and check out websites for models and reviews of them.
