What's a really good sci fi game?

I'm thinking of trying out a new sci-fi game/series. I've played Halo, Metroid, and Half Life and I really liked them. Does anyone have any suggestions for another really good sci-fi game that I could try? I've heard about Resistance, but I don't have a PS3, so keep that in mind. I have pretty much every other current gen system though.
I've also played Portal.
 
Dead space 1 and 2. Also red faction is cool and the destruction is beautiful.
