What I find fascinating is social psychology, particularly one on one social interactions. I realized that people unconsciously display and respond to 'clues' that communicate how they feel. I also find it interesting how these 'unconscious displays' can be controlled through conscious effort to affect the behavior of the one you are talking to.
One day i was attempting to converse with a cute new coworker, she was talking to me but lacked enthusiasm and and made it seem that she was too busy looking at stuff on her computer. So i decided to 'punish' her and stopped in mid sentence, and angled away from her. Then what happened next shocked the hell out of me. Her attitude, body language and behavior suddenly changed. She starts engaging in conversation like i knew her for years. She was responding to me and we talked and talked and talked some more till i had to go. Thats how i became hooked on the subject.
