Hi
I'm a lean 32 year old and two nights ago I took two Aspalgin (Aspirin and codeine) for a migraine I was having. I hardly ever take them otherwise, but when I do, I have had no problems. I took them with food and did not lie down straight after.
The next morning I felt fine, had breakfast and went to work. Once at work I started on my second cup of tea for the day and I noticed my stomach starting to get that burning feeling in my stomach associated with heartburn.
I realise that Aspalgin can upset the stomach in this way, but is it common that it can cause such symptoms 12 hours after taking it?
Since then, I have been taking Ant-acid (Mylanta) which helps. When I am hungry my stomach is sore and while eating it can also hurt. I have gas which when I burp relieves the pain. One thing I also took just before this started was a multi-vitamin tablet. A new packet and the first one. I have't taken them since, just in case.
Another note, I had been feeling nauseas the week before for no reason. And today when I go to the toilet, (no. 2), it felt like I had been eating chilli's the night before, if you know what I mean. Maybe its not associated with teh Aspalgin at all as I am susceptible to bad guts. :/
Thanks for reading!
