What's something good to cook for a boyfriend who doesn't like cookies/cake?

I am thinking of something nice to cook for my boyfriend, but he mostly eats protein based meals. Something about cooking a hunk of meat doesn't seem as romantic as bringing over a plate of cookies or something like that, lol. Any ideas?
Oops, sorry ... I meant something I could just bring to him on days where we don't have time to spend the whole evening together.
