What's the best choice to buy a PS3 or GTX 285/295, etc for my PC?

Hello I am confused as to what shall I buy. I am interested in a PS3 however I was also curious about a strong graphics card such as GTX 285, 295 and 9800 GTX+ or ATI Radeon HD 4870.

What's best to buy a PS3 or a graphic card? Will the graphics card last for 10 years at least? What about the PS3, wat will its lifespan be until PS4 comes out?
