What's the best rifle to hunt deer, elk and other big animals with?

I'm trying to find a good gun to go hunting with but I can't decide.

Well, if you plan on adding bear into that mix, a .338 Winchester or .375H&H won't harm you.
If you only plan on Deer, Elk, Caribou, and Moose, a .30-06 or .300 Winchester Magnum is better.

30-06 in just about any make will do well.
