What's the best time of day to exercise, what is your preferred workout routine?

I'm 25, my workouts consist of 5min stretching, 30min intense cardio, 5min cooldown, 30-45min weights, and ab crunches. When in college, I felt the best time of day to exercise was in the afternoon during an opening in my schedule. Now that I'm working full time during the day, I was going in the evening...but the gym is PACKED because everyone and their grandmamma goes after work between 6 and 8pm. I tried to go after 9pm, but the gym is still packed! Probably because I go to the one at my complex so everyone just walks out of their homes to the gym whenever. It sucks being in the gym when its full and you be all bumpin into people and waiting to use the equipment.

So I've decided as of yesterday that I'm going to try the early morning workouts (aahhh!). I got up at 6am and went to the gym before work today. My muscles weren't as loose as they would be if I go later in the day, but the gym was empty and here I am at work feeling like I have more energy. It was a good workout.

Ok, enough of my rambling. What gym time works best for ya'll? What is your workout routine?
