What's the deal with crazy old people who complain about "ghosts"?

For example, when I volunteered at a nursing home, there was an old dude who said that he executed a bunch of Vietnamese villagers early during the war, and that he was haunted every night by terrible dreams of those villagers coming back to torment him. He said that he thought their "ghosts" were hanging around just to make him miserable, and that several other soldiers from his platoon were suffering from the same problem.

He eventually killed himself by leaping out of his own tenth-floor nursing home window.

Was he just a nut, or is it possible for the ghosts of people you murder to come back and torrment you, even if they aren't Christians?

I believe in ghosts, mainly because I saw one in Georgia. He stood in front of my door wearing clothes you would find in the civil war.

But to each their own

no it sounds like he spent his life regretting during the Vietnam war and he just want someone to talk to!
and up to us as the younger people to listen.

Well, It's possible. You shouldn't judge someone like this, especially if they're old folks. Poor old guy. May god have him in his kingdom.
