would it matter which one i buy if the main channel is going to be relayed through a repeater

The one with 45 watt is more powerful , it means that in an area where a 25 watt radio is already fading or already as in a dead spot, your 45 watt radio is still recieving or cummunicating.
The higher the wattage the stronger the reception.
wattage is the amount of power going to the speakers so basically the 25 watt one wont have as much power as the 45 watt one so it depends on how much power you want on the speakers
