My car was hit when they tow the car, but that liar said nobody touched the car. even the police said they did it. My tail light is gone. I want to talk to their insurance company through mine. those liars won't even give me their insurance company name...Help , please....
Laws vary from state to state. In many states you can file a claim directly against the at-fault party's insurance company. This is standard procedure. But, like you have found out, you need the insurance company's name and policy number. You can try filing a claim with your own insurance company. If you have collision coverage they'll pay the claim (you'll be subject to your deductible) and then send the bill to the towing company. When they get the bill they'll probably put a claim in with their insurance. If the other driver was at fault you should eventually get your deductible back.
You said the police found the tow truck driver at-fault. Was there a police report? If there was, this report should have the tow company's insurance info on it. If you order a copy of the report, the insurance info will probably be censored out...but your insurance company should be able to get a copy of the report with the insurance info on it.
