...sensors,on 1996 chevrolet s-10 blazer? need to know what the labor-guide hours for replacing crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, and all four o2 sensors, also if someone could help me out on the location of the four o2 sensors i'm feeling pretty lazy haha. i'm not licensed or insured but a friend wants me to replace them i'm not gonna charge them shop cost but they want a number to pay me. i'm experienced and could find them all, like i said wanna save them some money cuz they insist on paying me. thank u
i used an obd-II scanner and i know what i'm talking about but they didnt want me under their truck longer then to install parts. their being cheap. i am not dumb its not all 4 o2 sensors at once their buddy they just want to get it all done and over with now so they dont have to have me back under there in a week a month or however long.

This is for V6 (times are only slightly less for the I4)
Crank PS :0.6
Cam PS 0.9
O2 0.8 (0.2 for each additional

So by book time, you're looking at at least 2.3 hours. Our shop rate is $100/hour so depending on where you live and what local shops there charge, I'm sure you can use this as a reference on what to charge him.

2 hours max and by the way the crank sensor shouldn't need changing out ,I have always been told if they were bad the engine will definetely not start. But yea 2 hours is a standard charge for this.

It sounds to me like they are just guessing what the problem is. Tell them they need someone that knows what they are doing and that has some sort of scan tool to figure out what the real problem is. I have never seen all 4 o2 sensors fail at the same time. Same with having both a crank and cam sensor fail. Thats going to be $300-400 in just parts. They could have it towed to a shop and have the one bad part replaced for less than that.
