when a lady puts her face close to yours for a kiss (as a formal greeting)...

...what do you do? I know you would probably say kiss her back lol, but i cant remember if you actually kiss on the cheek or if you just touch cheeks. I know people don't do it much in America, what country do people mostly do it in?

lol just wondering because some girl did it to me a few days ago and i didnt know what to do
 
my parents are from mexico and their family does those kind of greeting (a lot! especially in mexico) though it depends on the person if they kiss your cheeks or just touch them. my grandma kisses my cheeks for a long time when i greet her (mainly cuz i haven't seen her for a long time and cuz she's a grandma ). but my aunts or uncles (which i see every week) just touch cheeks (as in cheek with cheek).

but since ur not used to that i'll tell you to just touch cheeks. it's probably the most appropiate thing to do without looking rude.
