When I talk to Jewish people- they say that the proof of Judaism is?

that the Bible says that God spoke to the entire nation face to face- millions of people. The Bible also says that there would be a chain passed down from these people of the initial viewers. Therefore- if someone were to invent the Bible and claim it to be original- this would be impossible as everyone would simply say, "why have my parents never heard anything about that from their parents?" Therefor, it would take a national conspiracy involving millions of people from one single generation to invent the Bible. What are some good counter arguments I can give to these people?
Michael K: they say that they use the Bible as a document from an historic perspective. I have had so many arguments with these people. Maybe you are on the right track though. Define those terms and explain your reasoning. I dont think its the case that just because you say "its in the Bible, therefore.... is necessarily a circular argument- though often is.

You should probably write if you wanna know from a Chrsitian point ov view, Muslim point of view, or athiest point of view because you are going to get answers you don't like.

Anyway, that seems to be a solid argument FOR Judaism. I expect most of the arguments will be 'dinosaurs... science..."

@Christin... Sacrifices - no, because no more holy temple. Shellfish aren't kosher, she shouldn't be eating them.

Well I usually ask one friend of mine if she still sacrifices for her sins. She says no then I ask her why? Then I ask her is she eats shellfish and she says yes and then I ask her why? Then the closer is if the pharisees were not shown the error of their ways by Jesus why doesn't she still follow their rules laid out for the Jews?

Edit- D honey that still doesn't answer the second two questions. Only in the NT does it say that what goes into a man's mouth defiles him not, but what comes out. Without the NT and Jesus why do some still see fit to go against the rules set forth for them? Oh and BTW this is my friend I am talking about. We always have discussions like this and she enjoys being challenged just as much as I do. I do not judge her. I debate with her. Big Difference. People need to stop being babies and learn the difference between judgement and debates. I have never told her and will never tell she is going to Hell. Don't believe me well ask her yourself Yahoo Christian Chatroom 3 her screen name is Metookah.

answer: why are you "countering"? Jews don't try to spread our religion. You don't want to be Jewish, don't convert.

Chris - sacrifices cannot happen without the temple. Why do you judge others without knowing the "rules" you're referencing?

Jews actually make amends to those we've harmed before asking G-d for forgiveness.

I am a Jew myself and I can say that argument is NOT, actually, a circular argument. A circular argument would be- "the Bible says that it is true, therefore, it is true". That is a circular argument. Using the Bible as a valid historical document in conjunction with its populace is something completely different.

PASS.

People like Michael K think they are these elite intellectual type of people who apparently don't even understand the principles they are giving.

The fallacy of petitio principii, or "begging the question", is committed "when a proposition which requires proof is assumed without proof." More specifically, petitio principii refers to arguing for a conclusion that has already been assumed in the premise.

You DO know that your Jesus was Jewish, right?

One would think the desire to be "Christ-like" would extend to following His religion.

God has always spoke to the nations but not one on one; but by means of an angelical spirit
that takes on a physical body and or by one of his servants. In their case it was primarily
Moses and the other minor phrophets he used to communicate with. He also used dreams and visions to help indiviuals of that time period. God within his majestic creation of that which is of his kingdom tells us of him but at no time has not even the first man looked at him with their very eyes not have died from the slightest brilliance of Almighty God's shining Glory that radiates his
awesomeness more so than any man can comprehend or take in. He did speak to the entire nation but through in servent that he had chosen at that time...called a prophet.
