...coming from the machine.? when i turn the machine off the noise goes away. not sure what could be causing this. when the repair came to my house, the machine did not make the noise when it was on. go figure. thanks.
It could be a couple of things. I once made an electronic circuit that made a high pitched sound because of the physical oscillations set up by the interactions of the magnetic fields in the wires.
Sound is made by disturbances in the air. It is possible that several circuits are interacting in a manner which is not expected. That could create the sound.
It could be that your machine acts as a mechanical amplifier.
Without knowing more, anything I can think of is just a guess.
What Jack said, also it's a good idea to check your grounding. Is your ground a jimmy-rigged wire-tied-to-a-pipe ground, or a really good ground, as in the real 6 ft stake in the ground?
