then can't share anything except? some very weak and silly anecdotal evidence about the details of that 'personal relationship', are they just laughable, or pathetic?

Oh, and do they bring 'god' home for Friday nite dinner to introduce 'it' to all the relatives?

Most people don't like to share anything personal with someone who will sneer at them and pretend to be a superior intellect, while they are called names for believing as they do.
Simple enough.

To learn math, it would do a child no good to stand there in the schoolyard and scream at the teacher that mathematics are stupid, and that numbers don't exist.
Yet on R&S, we have children like that.
They take the greatest mystery of human existence, and pretend that there is no such thing.

If people do that, then you are certainly correct to be suspicious,
because it's a serious and essentially 'private' matter, the relationship,
that is. But the idea of it, that should be shared...so that others could
consider it. And I think those above probably do just what you said
and maybe either provide high entertainment for the relatives or else
ruin their supper. They have no place there once they change
their status. It's like becoming a citizen in a country that is at
war with their old country.
