I just recently got the Droid incredible 2 and checked for updates in the settings. It is running sense 2.1, and there are higher versions out already for other phones.
I'm with Verizon if that makes any difference.
Sense 3.0 is very demanding and a 1ghz processor wont run it very smoothly. As well, it'll kill your battery quickly. The only phones running 3.0 without being rooted have 1.2ghz duel core processors.
My Evo was rooted with 3.0 and I had to take it off because it got too annoying with the slowness. :-(
HTC has stated that sense 3.0 is for Dual Core processors only.
i personally have ran a sense 3.0 ROM on my HTC thunderbolt (same processor as the INC2) and it runs just fine.
but from HTC, that is what they have said. they did say that some aspects of 3.0 could be used to update the older phones. so i wouldn't be surprised to see sense updated with the 3.0 lock screen and maybe sms/email/weather apps.
if you really want 3.0 i would suggest looking into rooting and ROMing your phone.
