When you become a parent, is a sense of humor the first thing to go?

No, but you become more serious at the job at hand, of being a parent, and carry yourself accordingly. Children can do some funny stuff, and can bring out the humor in anybody.

I know some prude reported me and my account was suspended. I am only trying to be entertaining people! And NO, I do not really get my boy liquored up (well not everyday)

im the leader of the prudes. i never laugh ever. raising toddlers is serious business, especially when they drench a whole roll of toilet paper in the bathroom sink with 2 full containers of hand soap so they could make bubbles.

NO! You have to keep your sense of humor. Granted, it turns a bit sarcastic when the kids turns 12, then when they learn to drive, it turns to Gallows Humor. By the time they turn 21 your humor turns to drooling mindless giggling. But never lose your sense of humor or you will end up in a tower with a rifle.

Not mine, but I'm not your average parent. I told my daughter she could have a normal mommy, or a fun mommy. She chose fun, and we laugh a lot together. I say things that some might consider inappropriate, and I let her movies and tv shows that some do consider inappropriate.

But I have taught her to use her words, treat others with respect, and take care of the environment. She is at the top of her class, her teachers say she is very well behaved in class, and I think I have done a top notch job.

Yes. We become these very overprotective and hyper sensitive human beings, that we don't necessarily like but who said parenthood was "all fun and humorous"?

Oh, Gothika . . . I am not fan of curse words, but your answer to Munny's question was the only one that made me laugh! lol That was pretty good humor right there.

Check out this one. But beware. There is no humor . . . I guess I missed the part that said only duds can answer.
