I was using somebody else's personal computer while I was staying at their house. I went on Facebook and chatted with someone on there. When I was finished I made sure I logged out of my Facebook account and after that, by default, the Facebook page on that computer had the login information filled in for the person I was staying with who owns that computer. On top of logging out of my Facebook account I closed the Facebook tab. When we went to bed, my friend closed his laptop shut without shutting it down. The only that was left on the screen before he did that was some sport's website that he reads stuff off of. A few moments later I heard that sound that Facebook makes when you receive a new chat message. I couldn't tell if it was his computer or a noise coming from the TV. The next morning I checked my Facebook page on a work computer (not my friend's) and sure enough the person I was chatting with had sent two more messages close to the time that I heard the two "dings" from his computer. So can he get on there and see our conversation? I don't see how it was even possible for his computer to still receive notifications from the person I was chatting with when I not only logged out of my Facebook account, but I also closed the Facebook tab on his computer. Thanks!
That wasn't what I was asking. Sure, it still goes to my email and I can see it, but can my friend see it on his computer even after I logged out of my Facebook account on there and also closed the Facebook tab (when he opens it again it should automatically show his login information as opposed to mine).
In regards to Messenger, I am still confused. Even if he had that on his computer how would he be able to see my chat conversations if I chatted using my Facebook page and then I automatically logged out of my account when I was done?
