it goes back to normal? Nearly every DVD I watch on my DVD player freezes for about 1 second and then it goes back to normal and plays the rest of the movie smoothly without a problem. It usually happens about 50 mins to 1 hour into the film but sometimes I can watch a DVD on it without it freezing at all. My DVD player is like 10 years old. Do you think it's the DVD's or the DVD player? Do you think this is a major issue or should I just not worry about it? Thanks and the best answer gets 10 points :)

This is completely normal for DVDs/ DVD players to do with age. Normally it is scratched up DVDs that do this (rent a movie thats 2 months old from Redbox, you'll see...) but seeing as how you have an older DVD player, this is probably attributed to the DVD Player. This shouldnt be nothing more than a minor inconvenience, it is when the DVD skips 10+ minutes of video that you should be alarmed. If you can tolerate the small skip, there shouldn't be a reason to worry about it.
I hope this helped...
