Where can i find a driver for my external DVD drive?

I got it from a friend an I plugged it in and nothing happened so i guess i need a driver for it but can't find one so somebody needs to give me a link THANKS!!!

Its an hp dvd writer
model: dvd555s

Did you turn it on most ext. drives require you to turn it on. Well you can go to www.hp.com/downloads or better than doing all that Go to www.zdnet.com and type in drivers for a dvd555s
