where can i get a police scanner?

i know there against the law in cars but not in homes and i just thought it would be interesting to listen in on there calls sometime when im really bored so where could i acquire one other than online and how much would something like that run?

Radioshack, do an online search for pricing or Craigslist.com or Ebay.com for used and new ones.

Radio Shack, internet. Just be sure that there is no charge back if you return the unit! Many of these scanners do not "track" and are worthless. There are no laws against owning a scanner that I know of.

Get on the internet and find local scanner clubs before U buy. Talk to experienced people! U might want to join an amateur police volunteer group.
