...Cleveland, OH? I called The Swedish Solution and their trying to charge me between $60 and $90. Is there anywhere else I can go for free of charge
 
I think you are out of luck.

Because your car is not OBDII (pre 96)

You cannot get it scanned at autozone or kragen or any other auto store.

The last solution could be to look around some of the SAAB FORUMS

On some cars there are secret ways to get your check engine code to show up on your radio or odometer.
