Where do you typically sleep on a cuddy cabin boat?

I am going to buy a boat soon (most likely a cuddy cabin) and I was wondering where people sleep? Do you take the boat out of the water or just dock it somewhere? I just figured the water would make it difficult to sleep with it moving a lot. I am interested in a 22' or larger any suggestions on brands?
 
You generally tie to a pier in a harbor. Calm waters and use of shore power is usually available. You could anchor in a cove ...but I would not recomend it.
 
just dock it and anchor it but do not forgett to put the ratinatalamp locker boat version 7.83 on your boat. its cheaper than the goataboutinar version 596
