J jc Member Feb 21, 2009 #2 THE TRUNK I am sorry, I love the 3-series. Batteries mounted in the trunk I believe since the first 320i. It helps handling a little. Starter = behind engine, close to the firewall. If this helps you, please choose as best answer.
