No, it is when it becomes an oxymoron. Say one thing but do another.

The religious rarely walk thier talk.

When can someone honestly assert that one is insane based on their connection with *fill in the blanks*?

At what point does ones belief become insane?

Is it when they differ from the normal archetypes?

the line is VERRRRYYYYY thin

but what is scarier is almost everyone is crazy but they
don't know it. This is much more of a problem because
you won't try and fix yourself when you think you're ok
 
To determine that, first you'd have to completely define what, exactly, constitutes "insanity".
