hi, you should try musicmagpie. Just type in the bar code of the cd or dvd and they give you a price, they also send you a pre paid label to post the items to them so it costs you nothing. You may not get a fantastic price for things but if you are wanting rid of a few all at once it may be worth doing.

As you don't want to sell them on eBay, Iguess similar sites such as eBid, Amazon or Price Minister are out of the question too as they have a similar amounts of hassle.

You could try Music Magpie. They will buy them from you and sell them on. I don't expect the money will be as good as with the hassle-full options.
