For my art course at school, we need to research artists who've worked with similar things to what we wish to or at least artists who work with things that we might be interested in/could inspire us, so are there any artists that work with gadgets like clocks (I'm really intrigued by the intricate workings of the cogs), keys, locks, phones, etc.? It could be sculptures or paintings, I don't really mind. And yes, I know Dali did a painting with clocks in it, but he's a little too creepy for my liking. 
Either that or an artist who works with fantasy or mythical.. things.. for lack of a better word at the moment. I actually liked Dali's painting of the Metamorphosis of Narcissus or something, but that's pretty much the only painting of his I liked.
