Which car is generally better? Audi TT 2.0T Coupe or BMW 328i Sedan?

Very hard question it all comes down to preference really, wether you want a sporty coupe or a sedan for the extra room. I would probably go with the bmw between these two as it would be the better drive but thats just my opinion.

They are essentially different cars.

The Audi, being a coupe is a three door design, and this may suit many people who do not need to carry rear-seat passengers very often. The engine is reliable and performs well with the auto trans.
I have driven the TT many times, and would recommend it if the body type suits you. Compared with the BMW it is a more avant garde design and the suspension can be a bit busy on rough roads.
Handling is crisp and the interior is vastly better made and designed than the BMW (itself no bad place to be) and is a tactile delight.

The BMW is a four door saloon and is more practical, though the 2.8 is no longer available in many countries, so I assume it is second hand. The 2,8 litre inline six is known for it's smoothness and good performance. It may have a long term durability advantage over the tirbo in the Audi, but that often comes down to how well it is maintained. I have driven many generations of this model, and have found them excellent. The suspension and handling are probably a bit better than the Audi, and resale may well be superior though, if second hand, this may not be so.

Both are very good motors, and well above average. Maintenance and insurance may well be on the high side.
