...too loud either? going away in the summer and want to know which greek island you people recommend?

we are looking for somewhere that has a bit of life to it, restaurants and bars etc but dont want somwhere that is full of clubs and drunk idiots.

which island would you recommend? any other info would be great too.

Kos and stay in Kos town not anywhere else.
Lovely place.
Rent bicycles to get around.Go to the Asklepion.
Also, market near the centre of town by the ancient tree that Hippocrates taught his pupils under.
Visit the ruined Greek amphitheatre and ham it up in the stage like I did!
Lots of good restaurants but prices may be expensive now with the weak pound.
