He does a lot of his own movie stunts. He is a real life hero: He once rescued someone with his helicopter. He is humble; look at his interviews, and speaks softly and downplays his accomplishments. He seems like a no b.s. kind of guy, what you see is what you get.
Perhaps elitist of me, but I wouldn't call any actor a "real man". I mean, seriously.. they -act- for a living. They get all prettied up and play make-believe for a camera. It's just not all that masculine to me.
Real men/women are the ones who go out and do the tough stuff in life to make the world keep going while the pansies are busy trying to look pretty.
