Looking for comparision from people who have owned or just knowledgeable car folks who can give me input on these two vehiciles.
Thanks for your answers.
I live in the Boston area and we do get alot of snow.

tuff one i had this same situation we went with the honda because it was a better choice for my lil sister who is in a wheel chair it had more room in the back for her folding chair really they are both great you shouldnt look at the options so much cuz they are the same go by looks they both run great and its a looks thing with those 2 i know its pretty lame but really they are both good i may not have helped but it was funny cuz we had the same trouble

first off are you looking at new or used?

the 2009 Rav4's 4 cyl engine is finally getting an upgrade that makes it have better acceleration than a golf cart. So if your buying a used one only buy the V6.

if you live with snow or mud don't buy a CRV. if your like 95% of ppl who never leave the pavement the Crv is good enough.

but if you ever need 4 wheel drive the Toyota is king.

again the older Honda's 4 cyl engine is underpowered. but If your buying an 07-09 it's got plenty of power.

just a few things about the Rav4, the spare tire mounted on the back is a safety hazard, if you get bumped it shatters the rear glass. The tail gate swings out to one side, that's awkward and sometimes dangerous. The newer Honda's have solved both of these problems by storing the tire underneath and making the gate lift up.

if you buy a Rav4 get a 2009 or a V6 version of a used one.
if you live with snow or mud Rav4.

if you stay on the hwy and can afford a 07-09 get the Honda

don't get me wrong, the rav4 with a V6 engine is gr8 little suv just with the limited trim your looking a lot of money for what you get.

the older honda's are smaller, the new Honda's are much bigger and with the larger tires have a better ride. They do have some blind spots when you back up but nothing you cannot get use too. some ppl think they are less attractive but to me the extra room inside makes up for that. with the seats folded flat you'll be surprised what you can carry.

2007 Honda CR-V
I love the sunroof and heated seats something I never would have thought I'd use living in the South but they are gr8 on a cool morning.
The cd player holds 6 cds. It came with 1 year of free XM radio. we did not get the dvd player or the navigation system.

I had a truck with a V8 before this and the only time I miss that big engine is trying to pass on a two lane road but I probably shouldn't be doing that anyway. seriously the 4 cyl engine has plenty of power when you put your foot in it something the older ones did not have.

Its just a personal preference, I enjoyed the Honda's refinement a little better, but the power and economy from the Rav's meatier V-6 was what made me go with it.

There really is no outright "better" between the two, only one that is better for you ( whatever your needs, desires, and tastes may be ).
