Which language is easier to learn for a total newbie ?

French or Spanish.

Heard a lot that in a free time try learning some language.

And i need some activities as the thoughts of what the girl i loved the most did with other guys, haunts me. Gives me so much pain. So i need to keep myself busy when i am free at home.

I talked to a home tutor. Just need your opinion which one would be easier. French or Spanish ? I dont know a think about it.

I know nothing is that easy. But still......
 
Spanish is a lot easier and much more phonetic, in my opinion. One of the easiest languages to learn, actually.
 
Well French, Spanish and Italian are all derived from Latin so they're basically the same just with different pronunciations. Italian is even similar to English sometimes. As for French, I think that that would be the most difficult because of the strange accents. I'm learning Italian now and after just 3 weeks, I'm already reading Italian Vogue so I don't know. It's different for everyone but I would definitely recommend Italian or Spanish. Once you've learned one, you've basically learned the other. Good luck with your...............thoughts.
