Im going to buy my little cousin a nintendo ds console and some pokemon games,( soul silver and white version), which console should i get him?

Nintendo ds original
Nintendo DS lite
Nintendo DSI
Nintendo DSiXL?
which one?

Not 3DS Since he says they hurt his eyes when he was using one instore.
