Which of these dresses would be more appropriate for formal dinner on a cruise?

They're the same price, so it's just down to which I like better. Also, which do you think is more versatile? I'm going to have to wear it at least twice on the cruise.

The picture doesn't really show it, but the second one is like a dark eggplant color.

The latter
its simpler and can be used for many different occasions wheras the lace might seem too much for some events
also a V-neck is easier to wear acseories with

I like the first one better. Black is better than brown and I like the lace.

They are both lovley, but I'd go with the first. You can so many different types of shoes, jewellery and wraps to create a different look every time.
