In this story, humans and nanobots are at war. Either the human or nanobot civilization will go extinct from this war. Humans control Earth, and nanobots control the Moon, as their main stronghold.
In my story, the nanobots take over Mercury, and Venus, utilizing the abundant solar energy. I have the humans colonize Mars, Jupiter's moon Europa, and Saturn's moon Enceladus, utilizing the abundant water supply. The rest are hotly contended, with no permanent settlements.
