prophecies in the Bible.? Please quote the scripture and keep your answer to less than 300 words. Please, no cut and paste, it is YOUR opinion I need to hear.
Hi Leo, Sorry chum but I was asking about BIBLE prophecy. When I need to know about Nostradamus, I will post that question very clearly.

Revelation maybe. I think the total of the Bible has significant messages here and there. The book was not written to glorify their prophesy but to teach you in their way, what God wants from us.
I choose Revelation because it is one book that you cannot guess at. You have to really work at getting the interpretation from it. This was done so those who deceive would not be able to uncover the most important aspects that are hidden here, and reveal the secrets to everlasting life and the last days of this system. It speaks of the false religions and government powers dwindling in power and offers great signs for survival, and uncovers hidden truths, but I am through trying to convince anyone of that.

I put the *Bible's* prophecies next to Nostradamus' and the Mayan's prophecies, utter superstitious nonsense which has no meaning in the modern world. Unfortunately Christian arrogance doesn't see the contradiction in rejecting other prophecies yet accepting their own, instead they just claim it is God's word.

*Must I highlight the word Bible a little more clearly? So be it..

ISAIAH 53:6
All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way,
But the lord has caused the iniquity of us all
To fall upon him....

Prophycing that Jesus will die on the cross for all of our Sins.

The prophecy of the Messiah. Foretold in almost every book of the bible despite the fact that they were written by different writers over thousands of years and fulfilled despite the reigning hierarchy claiming otherwise.

The historical and prophetic scriptures are only truly understand when one understand why Jesus came and who He really is. That is often slowly revealed through honest study and by grace.

That this prophetic event was predicted and fulfilled is amazing enough but to see the thread of how Jesus' actions and words built into revealing He was truly God is amazing. Hundreds of scriptures over dozens of books all building towards the same Truth.

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be." John 14:1-3

I wish to point out that there are ZERO prophecies in the bible. In order to be a prophecy one must have a specific date attached to them otherwise the statement is nothing more than vague words that can be interpreted any which way the user sees fit and do not predict anything. Something coming true and being pointed to AFTER the event is not prophetic.

The Messianic prophecies which ALL prove that Jesus is the Messiah! http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Miscellaneous/messianic_prophecies.htm

The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell, is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus alone for salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what! Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus alone to save you! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).
