The asking price is $4250 for either one. The 95 Jimmy has 140K miles, has a V6 Vortec, and is in excellent shape. The 2000 Explorer has 111k miles but the interior, 4.0 V6 and exterior are a little dented and banged, but the tires have twice the tread as the Jimmy. Both ride well and brakes, etc. seem to be pretty good.

Basically, I'm looking for reliability in a vehicle that I can carry my grandkids in, tow a camper occasionally and general urban driving. Thanks for any and all advice.

Neither early 2000 Ford trucks break down all the time unless they are meticulously taken care of by the time the truck has 150k it will be running like a Honda with 300k that has never seen an oil change. As for the Jimmy there aren't too many Jimmys and Blazers of that generation around anymore its hard to find parts and dealer parts are outrageously expensive. If its an SUV and you're on a budget I would recommend a Toyota 4Runner or Nissan Pathfinder.
