...the BUDGET debate? Will the Republicans, following the lead of Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, succeed in forcing Obama and the Democrats to accept spending cuts of up to $7 trillion over a period of years -- and a redefinition of the Medicare program -- as the price for the Republicans not shutting the government down in August?
Or will Obama and the Democrats succeed in limiting the pain from the budget cuts by forcing the GOP to agree on a modest increase in the top income tax schedule for the richest 2.5% of Americans?
Or would most of us in YA Politics just prefer not to think about the budget issue and the deficit issue and the spending cuts, because they're too scary -- and it's much easier to trade insults & gossip about Obama, Palin, Herman Cain, Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich and Nancy Pelosi?
