I mean, when I was 11, one of my family members had a terminal disease (not going to mention it, it'll only bring back bad memories), I never got told until 2 weeks later. They suffered for 4 hard months going back and forth from the hospital, and everyone pretended nothing happened.
When I looked at a video earlier about people who die from this disease, I just thought, "Why wasn't I told sooner? I guessed it would be that disease, but I should have had the right to know sooner"
I know it must be painful to tell kids these things, but 2 weeks?!
