Obviously, Christ founded Christianity, Buddha founded Buddhism, and, according to non-muslims, Muhammad started Islam (according to muslims, Allah started Islam) What other people have started a major world religion?
Actually Jesus didn't start Christianity. Paul is a much more likely candidate.
I'm sure many of the hundreds of other religions were started by individuals. L. Ron Hubbard started Scientology, the Raelians follow a single leader, and I'm sure there were many religions in the past that started out as cults around a single charismatic figure.
Actually Christ did not start Christianity. Christ was a Jew, who simply came back to reform the Jewish religion. Not to create a new one.
Buddha did not found Buddhism either. The Buddha simply expressed his absolute wisdom, and how to attain that wisdom. The institutionalization happened much later.
I'm assuming you want to be general (not get into all the denominations).
In that case, I guess you could assume Confucius founded confucianism (much like how you equated Christ - Christianity).
Early Rishis (sages) perhaps founded Hinduism (this ones hard. Hinduism is a very old religion and no one truly knows its origins).
Abraham could be seen as the founder of all three of the major monotheistic religions.
