Clearly the collusion between the Government and the Banks is engineered to destroy British industry, promote imports and increase unemployment.
As long as British industry is on it's knees all consumer demand is being met by imports, all imports are profit generators for the Banks through the exchange rate mechanism (also the reason we do not use the Euro), the more we import the more they make. Domestically produced products deprive the Banks of this money spinner.
The Government does not want industry to prosper, it would deprive their co conspirators of billions and break their "tryst". Industry investment is messy, building factories, buying plant, employing people, letting the Unions stick their noses in, long term risky investment when there is easier pickings without it.

The end product is a balance sheet manipulated to suggest that the Nation is not too badly off, disguising the fact that the prosperity only benefits the fortunate few, the rest of the Nation are just a load of parasites useful as cash cows, who listen to "British jobs for British workers" and believe every word, whilst being fleeced and buying their own unemployment.
