Why are blacks not dominating UFC MMA (Mixed Martail Arts)?

I don't see that many blacks in UFC MMA. Anyone else notice this?

I thought black people were supposed to be "racially superior" in sports. Look at boxing. How comes blacks are not dominating UFC MMA?

I'm talking about BLACK people. BJ Penn is not BLACK.

I'm in my thirties and it's funny how all the young people today parrot that "stereotypes have no place in reality!!!" without ever thinking about what a stereotype is and how all those stereotypes existed in the first place.

MOST of the fighters in boxing are BLACK but most of the MMA fighters are not BLACK. Sure you named a handful of MMA guys that are black but what about the other 99?

What I'm saying is they don't dominate the sport like boxing. I'm wondering why. 8)

Get with the times man. Boxing is losing money while UFC is gaining big. It is not a question of if it will replace boxing - it's a question of how soon.

Lol! Nice explanation but all those white guys you listed are old hat from waaaay back in the day. Numbers wise Black guys dominate boxing.
 
I don't think blacks are as much of a presence in MMA as white fighters or Asians just because of the numbers. I don't think, number-wise, that blacks get into MMA as much as Whites or Asians. If Blacks did, you would see it even out more.

As far a boxing goes it's the same thing. Whites aren't in big numbers as blacks. Once you start getting more Whites in there you will see things even out more. Look at the Hispanics, they dominate the lower divisions of boxing just because they have such a large number of Hispanics enter boxing. Whites are making a big impact on the Heavyweight division at the moment. They are rising to the top with a lot of dominate White Russian boxers.

So, it is a matter of numbers than the "racially superior" garbage. You have good fighters of all races simple as that. You have examples of great fighters from every race who have dominated people of other races. It is all about numbers.
 
This must be the dumbest question ever. If your really in your thirties... its time to grow up!
 
Blacks dominate in some sports, you dont see them dominate in pole vaulting, swimming, hockey, golf, tennis, powerlifting, wrestling, strongman, bodybuilding or boxing. No Tiger doesn't count he is half black and thats one out of thousands of golfers. Same with the Wilsons, thats two out of how many tennis players? They arent evn on top any more. Very few strongmen are black, same with bodybuilders and powerlifters are mostly white.

All great boxers - Micky Ward, John Duddy, Rocky Marciano, Mickey Walker, Jake Lamotta, Jack Dempsey, Oscar De La Hoya, Arturo Gatti, Tommy Morrison, Jimmy Braddock. Fact is that alot of the all time greatest are Irish and English. They just don't get the recognition blacks do because black fighters tend to be more "polished" they dance around, use the jab, make a fight entertaining. Irish boxers are known for being sluggers, power punchers, tough and good chins but they don't make fights fun to watch.

The reason they don't dominate in UFC is because UFC doesnt make for a long career, they are in and out. its like fashion, one minute your in the next your out. Plus next to Boxing or MLB or NBA, UFC is a joke, more of a fad. Why would they want to do UFC when they can make millions is the NBA or other sports they can do well like NFL.
 
Because that is just a stereotype and stereotypes do not have any place in reality.

Although, when's the last time you saw MMA?! Rampage, Rashad Evans, Anderson Silva, Bobby Lashley, does BJ Penn count? (he's brown)

BJ and Silva are on top. I mean if BJ counts of course.
 
I think that MMA takes more intelligence to do, and is relatively untouched from gangs and other things of that sort. It's more honest. Boxing is corrupted and dirty, and intelligent white man would know that and stay away from it. Besides, right now White people are the Boxing Champs, true story. We don't have numbers in boxing but we have quality.

anywho, on with MMA. MMA takes a lot of thinking, and most black athletes are athletes not because they are better, it's because all poor black people are trying to make it big, so more of them get lucky, because more are trying. MMA takes a Lot of Skills and Mind power, which is not something the typical poor black person has. Since it's true that black people are more poor than others. it is not a racist issue, it's a statistical issue. Worlds strongest man is Dominated by White people as well. and the world benchpress record is held by a white guy. a Team of White average height dudes could do just as well in basket ball as the giant black players. All u have to do is get the ball in the hoop, height is not an issue. Most sports have steroids in them as well, regardless of what their steroid "tests" show in their results. so it's not their Genes, it's A massive quantity of Black people trying to do it, combined with steroid and performance enhancing drugs. Who the hell actually t thought having black skin makes you different in sports? It is ridiculous. Most of them use Drugs and anabolic substances to beat other people.
 
well, rampage is the most dominating black person in MMA. and Evans is good too, so, we r getting up there. it just takes time. wish they fight. i wanna see rampage shut his f*cking mouth. lol.

BJ penn and anderson silva is not black. BJ is haywain, and anderson silva is Brazilian. they gonna be in the hall of fame someday. but they r not black

and ur right, MMA is way better then boxing. all boxing do is block the punches alot. i miss the old boxing where they used to take the punches like a man. lol
 
The spider is king of his weight class and hes black more brown but if ur talkin non brazil id say look at rashad nasty even though he got ko'd or rampage ................. dominating prob not as much as white cause thats where the most numbers are not enough blacks but give it time a new young guy will come out and dominate
 
a. i think hispanics dominate boxing
b. black people are so widely dominate in sports...and yes, i know people will lose their minds over this but....because of breeding. like cattle. yes i know what that sounds like. but during slavery , the strongest black men were breed , over and over, just like we still do with farm animals now. in time that produced stronger , more enduring black men from genetics. ever see a real buff black guy who says he never works out? that's why. im not saying its right, just a theory.
c. boxing is not going to fade away, theres room for many combat sports.
d. ratio of black men fighting in mma is still growing..so its unfair to say they arent dominating. how about we just let whoever fight and leave the race at the door?
