Meaning people who believe in Christ and those who don't.

People who do believe often try to convert people who aren't. When that doesn't work they use scare tactics (burning in eternal damnation, all that jazz) to get people to believe. They believe that if you believe in God and you fall in love with someone who doesn't, you shouldn't be with them because they'll only drag you down.
(I went to christian school, this type of stuff was what we were taught in religion classes)

Meanwhile, Atheists treat believers with no respect. Many act as if being atheist makes them more intelligent somehow. They are very rude towards the beliefs of others, even when the other people have been nothing but respectful. (This happens on YA and in my philosophy class every day.) Is it really so bad to believe in something?

I realize not everyone is like that but a vast majority are, from my experience.

I really don't give a damn about religion. Maybe God exists, maybe he doesn't. Who am I to say what's right when it comes to the beliefs of others?
But I can't believe how mean people get over their beliefs. It's good to have constructive arguments, but saying someone will burn in hell if they don't go to church or acting like you are so much more intelligent because you make your own decisions and are capable of having personal opinions because God doesn't "own" you is not constructive.

It's intolerant and makes you come off prejudiced and uneducated.
