All I see on here is people bashing others. I have yet to find a constructive discussion. I've know there has been some form of mental retardation on this section but it's getting really ridiculous especially since candidates for the new election are coming up. I'm sorry if I sound like a big whiner right now but it's just awful.
Gungy, like I said in the question, I've always known this place has been a site for dim-witted arguments. But I'm talking about the recent "questions" that are deliberately meant to downsize an opposite faction. And then it just leads to answers that go no where in the right direction.

Frank, on behalf of the stupidist among us, I want to personally apologize for having you think that Y/A is a forum for constructive mature discussions. To actually believe this haven is a hang out for mature minded folks such as yourself, begs the serious question of are you sure you wish to label others as stupid?

These people are not educated, and many like to nit pick. I agree this does not interest
me at all.

I have no idea, but I completely agree. I think it's because people are misinformed by listening to mainstream media instead of making decisions on their own, and they feel fundamentally threatened by each other because politics regards the very foundation of our being. It's a discussion regarding government and the basic rights of man, this usually crosses over into religion as well, and so it ends up attacking all parts of a person's being. I don't think you sound like a whiner. I think you're absolutely right, and I've been guilty of it myself. You get lost in your impassioned stance on a subject and just can't believe who incredibly wrong those opposing you can be. Logic when you're that impassioned is usually lost.

Occasionally you see some well rounded non partisan answers. You just have to ignore the rest, they don't seem to understand that they are turning people away from their party(s) not drawing them in.

I don't think it's particularly bright to look for 'constructive discussion' about controversial topics on the internet.

I know what you mean but if you want an intelligent discussion on any issue, please e mail me. And you do not sound like a "whiner" to me.

i mainly get on Y!A when looking for an unintelligent convo
or to look for underage girls showing off their pics in the polls ans surveys section
