Why are people telling new dog owners this / POLL?

Why are people always tell people this (paragraph below). Like Wtf, maybe a celebrity spends that much on their dog a year. I probably spend $1500 dollars on my dog in the first year including vet care. I would like to know where their going doggy shopping, lol.

where did they get this list. $1000 dollar puppy? $150 bed? Fence $1500? Why would you need $400 in grooming just to get $250 in tools? My dog was expensive at $500 dollars, and yes there is a small bump in debt from owning a dog. I spent maybe $180 dollars for a bed, 2 bowls, a large kennel, some toys, food/treats, leash and collar. This list is crazy.
