So many people on here are saying things like The Hurt Locker only won because it was about war or because it had a female director....
What absolute nonsense... It won because it WAS the best film made in 2009.
As soon as I saw it it I thought it would win Best Picture. Loads of people who know movies said it was the best film they saw last year. The bookies had it joint favourite with Avatar...
Then it wins and all of a sudden some conspiracy?

Well done, I couldn't agree more with what you're saying.
To add to that Transformers 2 was the highest grossing film in the calendar year and was definitely the worst film i saw....
